Originally from Oak Park, Michigan Chris graduated from DePaul University where he didn't study film, but instead “went to films”. He fell in love with the grit in exploitation movies and the off-beat path of character driven dramas. His first job in production was assistant to the producers on the movie DOPE. He wrote, directed, and produced his debut feature film CURTIS (2021), which was acquired by 1091 Pictures and awarded Best U.S. Feature Film at the American Black Film Festival as well as the Audience Award at the Atlanta Film Festival. He’s an alumni of Film Independent's Project Involve where his short film CHAINING DAY premiered at the HBO Short Film Competition. Chris is repped by M88 and Paradigm Talent Agency.
